The discussion (in English) will be conducted by Paulina Szczesniak, an art journalist who works for the newspaper “Tages-Anzeiger” in Zurich.
Paulina Szczesniak was born 1979 in Poznan/PL. She has studied art history and English philology at the University of Zurich and has published texts in various Swiss print media. Since 2010, she works as art critic and editor for the daily newspaper "Tages-Anzeiger". Szczesniak has been assigned with the R&R award for art journalism in 2008 and in 2011. She lives and works in Zurich.

The conversation will be conducted by Axel Langer, Curator of Near-Eastern Art at the Museum Rietberg, Zurich.
Axel Langer studied art history, musicology and New German literature at the University of Zurich. The French architectural theory of the 18th century was the center of his master thesis. Since 1999 he has been working at the Rietberg Museum in Zurich, first as a publishing director, since 2006 as curator for the art of the Middle East. He has curated several exhibitions, among others "Fascination Persia", which dealt with the artistic exchange between Persia and Europe in the 17th century. His special interest is intercultural relations.
